Austin has two telescopes. One is a 4 1/2 inch Dobsonian and the other is an eight inch Dobsonian. The larger scope has an electronic target finder to facilitate the location of objects of interest in the night sky. Austin got the smaller telescope about 15 months ago, and he purchased the large scope on 01 October 2005 for his 13th birthday, having saved his money for said scope for about one year
