But before climbing into the saddle, the traditional car wash ritual must be observed.

Here is how you car sees a wash, but it is not as tramatic as may appear, for I take pride in the care of this machine.
Gentleness and patience are virtues.

The Eagle has arrived at Ranchman's, also known as the Ponder Steakhouse.
You simply must make the trek out here to this Denton County culinary treasure...

...where my good friend Joel and I feasted on a fine lunch. One featured topic was Keith Zimmerman's book Seeing Eye to Eye with God, a work that is for available here at Ranchman's and via Barnes and Noble. Visiting with Joel is refreshing, like a cold glass of spring water. I am again reminded of the power of humility and gentleness. Maybe one day I will be granted a measure of Joel's spirit.

We arrived after the lunch crowd had left, yet the restaurant remained busy preparing for the dinner hour.
One of Dave's staff was nevertheless able to break away for a couple of minutes for this pic.
I look forward to my next trip to Ponder.
