01 June 2007: the date of my 22nd scan (21 MRIs and 1 PET) since brain surgery in February 2004.
The procedure is performed in the room in the Southeast corner of this building (lower left corner).
Readers in the know will recognize this sign
from October 2006, when the ISI staff gathered around my 1976 Trans Am for a photo op.
Welcome to ISI, a top shelf imaging facility, with great staff and the latest hi tech equipment.
I always reset my system before the MRI begins, since the scan lasts about 45 minutes,
during which you must not move, much less get up for any reason.
No metalic objects are permitted within the strong magnetic field. And by the way the purse is not mine.
Get comfortable, use a blanket in the cold room, and resist the urge to scratch your face during the scan.
The operator provides a copy of the film and today, all images on CD as well.
The radiologist's report will be received on Monday, but the scan looks clean to me!
