06 July 2007: the Trans Am heads for Kwik Kar in Argyle for a series of restorations. Previous stop had been at Ryan's home in June.
The Kwik Kar attendant brings the TA into the shop while I try to maintain a steady hand.
I received this machine 18 months ago, and yet today is the 1st time I have released the car to anyone!
But she's in good hands, and these updates are important.
Where did she go?
11 July 2007: Phase 1 of the minor restoration is complete.
I appreciate Bailey transporting me to Kwik Kar (her SUV is leaving the parking lot in this pic).
Phase 1 involved replacing all of the vacuum hoses and sensors. This was mostly accomplished, with the remaining items on order.
The weather stripping is then to be replaced, and the engine bay will be cleaned, shined and polished.
I hope one day to put the Pontiac OEM radio in this car. The radio is the only part of the cockpit that is not vintage 1976.
