Favorite Things...Simple Things
I am simple person with simple thoughts, dreams and habits. The brain tumor experience
has further refined and clarified the goodness of simplicity. Consider a few of my favorites things and validate or refute my claim of simplicity.
The song Amazing Grace in any genre and language
I prefer analog watches over digital watches
Fewer choices on the menu
DVD players that do not require a remote control to operate and a ceiling fan that does not have a remote control at all
Quiet two lane lonely rural roads
Receiving a prayer page, which always seem to arrive at just the right time
A good book, accompanied with a large glass of grapefruit juice and 17 grams of Polyethlene

Road trips with the family, doing anything with the family, actually. The children grow up so fast!
Noticing and acknowledging God's handwork in nature
Seeing parallels to the heavenly realm here on this earth in every little thing
Walking outside at night to stare in wonder at the full moon. Lifting my hands up to the heavens to thank the Lord for the day
Giving thanks before each meal and moving through the day with an attitude of thanksgiving.

Working in the yard until I am dog tired
