In the Yard

14 June 08: Time for some yard work. Our home of 21 years is back there somewhere! I planted the three Bradford Pear trees you see in this pic about 10 years ago. Two Crepe Myrtles frame an entrance to the driveway. I enjoy the view anytime I return home!

The yard equipment needs fuel. I am gratified to see that my niece
Holly's graduation has been noted by the fine people of Argyle.

The space cadet garb serves a multitude of purposes. The cap protects my scalp from mosquitoes and the sun, the headphones provide noise attenuation and additional mosquito protection and a sun block for my ears. The goggles keep debris at bay.

It is a mess out here from every point of view!

Actually not everything is a mess, such as these Crepe Myrtle flowers at the front of our yard.

I do not know what this is, but I like it.

A surviving rose. I should have taken this pic a week ago, when there were about 30 new roses on display.

I do not know what this is either. These blooms return each year and I should have documented the event last week.

Life is a contact sport. Our Golden Retreiver has fetched a dead squirrel from our pool. Note the wet fur on the underside of her body.
