14 March 2007: A 2x great day. Aric is now 10 years old. Lots of presents to open. A nice quiet time, until the Silly String is produced. People become silly when exposed to Silly String.
Dispense Silly String and witness instant energy and activity. Andrew, moving too fast to be captured, seems to have lost his head over the matter. Aric and Andrew attempted to use the two available cans of Silly String to dispatch Aimee, but the tables were turned when Aimee produced more cans from her private stock than Aric had received for his birthday.
Aric's birthday was the story of the day, but a 2nd reason that 14 March 2007 was 2x great was automotive in nature.
My friend Chad used to own a 1978 Firebird. Fond memories, for sure.

Andrew and dad are always up for a photo op with their machines.
Chad wraps up the sale of this GT, explaining innumerable points to Andrew,
who is anxious to hit the road with his high school graduation gift.
I remember the joy in 1976 of receiving the keys to my Trans Am as I prepared to enter Texas A&M University,
and now I watch my son experience that same rush. Having been on both sides of the exchange now,
I more fully understand the adage that there is more joy in giving than receiving.
Back to the crib to pick up everyone and head out to Applebee's...
After all, today is Aric's birthday, #10 to be exact!
